<p><strong>Vilma “Nina” Balmaceda</strong>, PhD, is Associate Professor of Political Science and Director of the Center for Scholarship and Global Engagement at Nyack College and Alliance Theological Seminary in New York.  Nina serves as one of Peacemaker Ministries’ representatives for Latin America.  Born and raised in Lima, Peru, she is the co-founder and former president of the Christian Legal Society of Peru and of the Latin American Christian Lawyers Network/Advocates Latin America. She currently serves as a board member of Advocates International, Inc., and as a member of the advisory board of the Institute for Public Service and Policy Development in Washington, DC. Nina is happily married to Roberto W. Chia; their son Roberto Alfredo is 12 years old.</p>

Since 1982 he has been passionate about bringing the life-changing power of biblical peacemaking principles into the lives of Christians and their churches. God has given him opportunities to speak on every continent about the gospel of peace. Ken has also ministered to parties in <em>hundreds of conflicts</em> ranging from simple personal disputes to complex church and legal conflicts, and has written a variety of books, articles, and other resources on biblical conflict resolution. He and his wife, Corlette, have a teenage son, a married daughter and a new grandson. Their favorite activity is hiking in the mountains.</span></p>
